Cliver pour se protéger : quand le corps devient une machine et la douleur une personne

Abstract : Pain comprises everal theoretical fields. Despite being universal, each person experiences it in a different way. When it turns into a chronic disorder, it drastically affects one's life, identity and body representations. How are identity and pain related? Are those connections unequivocal? In order to handle the pain, the patient employs defence mechanisms which can cause more suffering. Psyche-soma split is one of them. Based on the study of a patient's psychomotor care, I'm seeking to understand how a holistic approach can help to relieve the pain. Is there a way, in a safe environment, to give meaning to experiences and suggest new ones to recover support in one's own body in order to rebuild one's identity?
