Evaluation de la satisfaction des femmes bénéficiant d’une version par manoeuvres externes : étude rétrospective menée à la maternité Port-Royal

Abstract : Objective: to assess patient satisfaction with an external cephalic version (ECV). Material and methods: a retrospective, monocentric and descriptive study was conducted between September 3, 2018 and March 11, 2019 at the Port-Royal maternity ward. A printed questionnaire was delivered by the midwives to women the day after their ECV during their monitoring. Results: this study included forty-five women. The majority of them were either very satisfied (42%) or satisfied (45%) with their care. The experience of the version could have been repeated in 71.1% of patients and 68.9% could recommend it to their relatives.Information provided by professionals about ECV influenced overall patient satisfaction (p=0.02). In addition, we did not find association between pain caused by ECV and satisfaction (p=0.34) or between success of ECV and patient satisfaction (p=0.89). Conclusion: it is essential to provide clear and comprehensive information to women opting for ECV.
