Palette végétale : intégrer les sols construits et le milieu urbain, dans le contexte d'un projet expérimental mené par AGREGE

Abstract : Planting areas have been evolved and took an important part in the urban planning during the last few years. It explains our realization of climate change: heavy rain, hot spell, and drought. The urban setting faces up to major issues that vegetation can be a lever for action. To be well rotted, plants need fertile soil. But the soil which is usually used for urban projects become a rare natural resource. To recover the deficit, the pedology engineering has created a new type of soil build with sub-products and urban waste materials. Today, to resilient cities, landscape architects must bring more vegetation back, like trees while using soil construction. How the landscape architects can propose adapting urban planting lists adapting these two contexts? The aim of this thesis is to answer the question and propose something to think about “put the right tree at the right place” like said Françis Hallé. A study to seek causes of the depletion of the nature resource, will help to understand why pedology engineering create the soft soil. The connection between trees and some climate change issues will be treated. The AGREGE program will be discussed to show difficulties of selecting plants for landscape architects.
