Gestion des rumex (R. obtusifolius et R. crispus) en grandes cultures biologiques : enseignements d’expériences d’agriculteurs

Abstract : This internship report focuses on the management of R. obtusifolius and R. crispus in large organic cultures in France and the lessons learned from the farmers' experience. The rumex is one of the most problematic weeds in organic agriculture (OA), because of the ability of its root to regenerate. In addition, data on the problem of the rumex in France and the means to manage it are lacking in the literature. This is why, within the framework of the CAPABLE project, a survey and innovation tracking work is being carried out to provide answers to this problem. These methods based on farmers' mobilization make it possible to determine the factors influencing the problem of the rumex, namely the period of conversion to OA, the operating system, and the characteristics of the soil. The survey, which counts 245 farmers, describes the majority practices mobilized by farmers, and served as a basis for identifying innovative farmers for the tracking process. The pursuit of innovation, conducted on the basis of interviews conducted in the Bourgogne Franche Comté region with 11 farmers, makes it possible, following an agronomic analysis work, to produce various resources: knowledge of the rumex, description of new practices , identification of practices to avoid. The results of innovation tracking are gathered in a regional database. This database will then be used to support the co-design workshops planned for the subsequent CAPABLE project.
