Apport des maisons de santé pluriprofessionnelles en prévention du risque de burnout chez les généralistes libéraux

Abstract : Context: The burnout syndrome affecting general practitioners seems to be increasing. Over past twenty years multiprofessional health centres have appeared as an alternative to traditional private practices. They might offer better work conditions and ameliorate social support in order to prevent burnout. Objective: To compare the risk of burnout among general practioners depending on rather they are working in multiprofessional health centres (MHC) or in other kind of practices (Other). Methods: An online survey was sent by email to general practitioners in Rhône Alpes. The first part of the survey inquired about social data such as gender, age, number of children and continuous medical training. The second part was related to the french version of Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), and the third part included the french version of the social support questionnaire short form (SSQ6). Results: From January to May 2019, 257 general practitioners answered the survey. No statistically significant differences were found for the 3 dimensions of MBI : for emotional exhaustion the average scores were 14,6 versus 15,8 (p = 0,536), respectively for the MHC group and the Other group ; for depersonalization 8,3 versus 9,0 (p = 0,182) ; for personal accomplishment 36,6 versus 36,1 (p = 0,613). The linear regression found no significant differences related to the type of practice (p = 0,386). Discussion: The establishment in multiprofessional health centres does not have an impact on the risk of burnout among general practitioners.
