Les conséquences obstétricales, fœtales et/ou néonatales pendant la grossesse et en période préconceptionnelle de l’HPV

Abstract : Background: Human Papilloma Virus is a sexually transmitted infection responsible of certain cancers, including cervical cancer that resulted in nearly 1,100 deaths in 2018. Its detection at the level of placental tissue asked the authors about the possible consequences of the virus during pregnancy but also on fertility. Objectif: Analyze possible obstetric, fetal and/or neonatal consequences of carrying HPV during preconceptual and pregnancy. Methods: This study is a literature review conducted between May and December 2018 studying 19 articles published between 2000 and 2018 from Pubmed and Google Schoolar databases. Results: The influence of HPV on obstetric, fetal and/or neonatal consequences and fertility is controversial. The authors are not unanimous on the results obtained. Conclusion: Larger-scale studies including representative populations are needed to obtain a sufficient level of scientific evidence to conclude a proven causal link.
