Enjeux de désimperméabilisation des sols urbains et interdisciplinarité hydrologie paysage dans le projet d'aménagement

Abstract : Urban planning practices tend to unseal soils for several purposes such as the alternative management of stormwater and to meet city revegetation demands. This evolution prevents or provides solutions to many issues linked to water management and urban planning. Urban sprawl caused by the increase in urban populations leads to an increase in sealed soils and stormwater runoff, in addition to complicated clean and wastewater management and considerable urban pollution. Furthermore, the consequences of climate change can already be felt through intense heat and drought periods and less predictable rainfall variations. In the current context of a high public demand to consider climate issues and revegetate cities, we will see how the unsealing of urban soils constitutes a solution to current major landscape and water management issues, and how a multidisciplinary approach involving landscaping and hydrology is valuable for such planning projects.
