, L'objectif de notre étude est d'évaluer la réduction des atélectasies via l'utilisation de LHD durant une anesthésie générale en ventilation spontanée chez l'enfant
, Méthodes Notre étude était prospective, randomisée
, Les critères d'inclusions étaient les enfants ASA I ou II, sans malformation ni thoracique ni des voies aériennes, un âge de 6 mois à 6 ans et une indication d'anesthésie générale pour examen IRM
, Après randomisation, les enfants avaient comme vecteur de gaz un masque à haute concentration ou des lunettes à haut débit (2L/kg/min, max 25L/min). Le volume d'atélectasie pulmonaire était évalué en aveugle par un radiologue sénior sur des coupes thoraciques IRM réalisées en fin d'examen

, Conclusion L'effet PEP des LHD chez l'enfant permet de réduire les atélectasies durant une anesthésie générale en ventilation spontanée. De plus, il s'agit de la première étude qui montre l'effet anatomique soit une réduction des atélectasies via l'utilisation de LHD chez l'enfant
