Proposition d'un outil didactique répondant aux besoins et aux attentes des médecins généralistes libéraux ambulatoires de Normandie visant à optimiser la gestion des déchets d'activités de soins au cabinet, selon la méthode Delphi

Abstract : Introduction: Every day, general practitioners (GPs) produce various types of healthcare wastes, both hazardous and non-hazardous, which have to be sorted after production. This sort is not daily perfect. In a previous study evaluating knowledge and habits, GPs wanted more information and awareness. The study aimed to create a didactic tool helping healthcare wastes’ sort according to GPs’ needs in Normandy. Methods: First, a group deliberated to prioritize ideas to develop. Then a Delphi methodology was conducted. Sixteen experts were recruited, including eleven GPs, a hygienist hospital physician and representatives of regional authorities involved in healthcare waste management or GPs information (health administration, medical board, regional council, GPs group). Results: A consensus was reached after two rounds of consultation. The tool was organized in three documents (introducing letter, booklet, small poster for each bin), approved by experts. Furthermore, according to the experts, this kit could adapt to each GP, its spread could improve sort and people health. Conclusion: A tool improving habits according to GPs needs has been developed. After diffusion of the tool, a study of GPs healthcare wastes’ sort could determine its effect.
