Étude de la composition médicamenteuse de la trousse d'urgence des médecins généralistes dans l'Orne

Abstract : There are no formal recommendations for the drugs to be contained in the emergency kit of a general practitioner. Many lists are available, suggesting for the most part well-supplied kits, but cumbersome and potentially unsuitable for outpatient general practice. We conducted a crosssectional descriptive study from a survey sent to general practitioners of Orne, rural department in which medical demography is unfavorable. The main objective of this work was the study of the drug composition of their emergency kit, and the proposal of a "typical" kit. The secondary objective was to highlight factors that may influence the possession of an emergency kit. We did not find any significant influence of age, gender, emergency medicine training, home visits, SMUR response time, mode and place of exercise on the possession of an emergency kit by general practitioners, provided that we worked on a small sample. We have been able to propose from the results of our study a compact and well-supplied kit, provided with 16 essential drugs and an administration set for a total cost of 137,68 €.
