L'entrée dans l'écrit en classe de Petite Section

Abstract : Primary school has a determining role concerning the child’s first contact with the culture of writing. As soon as children start school, they are going to encounter writing in play corners, on numerous posters, and also in children storybooks available in class. They are also going to get to know writing through the establishment of real writing situations (practicing writing imitation, and through the teaching method called “dictating to adults”). From a motor point of view, these writing situations are going to enable children to gradually acquire the gesture of writing. While manipulating, the child will little by little become aware of the richness of writing and of its numerous functions (communicate, keep a trace, organis one’s ideas).
