L' apport de l'acupuncture dans la cicatrisation en obstétrique

Abstract : If pregnancy is responsible for several corporal changes, sometimes reversible, childbirth is, on the other hand, often the cause of wounds that can leave scars on women's bodies. The midwife's role being to sustain physiology during pregnancy and childbirth, she will therefore help the patient during her physical as well as psychical healing. Acupuncture will also find its place in this preventive role. First, we studied the skin and the healing process, both in occidental medicine, as well as its interpretation in chinese medicine. Then we described the different puncture methods and acupuncture points that can help this process, and the benefits of moxibustion in wound healing. Finally, we presented some clinical cases and their results. This work, if originally centered towards obstetrics, can however be extrapolated to any wound, whatever its cause and wherever its localisation.
