Médication officinale et médicaments sans ordonnance pour la prise en charge des états anxieux, des troubles du sommeil et des symptômes dépressifs mineurs : évaluation clinique et conseils du pharmacien d'officine lors des soins de premier recours

Abstract : French people place a great trust in their pharmacists. It is therefore essential that those professionals are well trained to answer all patients’ questions. Anxiety, depression and sleep disorders play a major role in all queries coming through the counter. So what are those major questions? In which cases can the pharmacist take care of patients and for which cases should it be preferable for him to refer to doctors? What are the warning signs to look for? In addition, what are the different possibilities of existing therapeutic solutions and which ones should be adapted in each situation? This thesis highlights and provides pharmacists with decision making trees on the three pathologies mentioned above. This will allow pharmacists to best advise patients and to enhance their questioning and their medical advise. As a result, their legitimacy as a primary care provider will be strengthened, allowing them to continue to care for their patients.
