Les usages sociaux de la Scène Nationale d'Albi au sein du Grand Théâtre des Cordeliers

Abstract : The National Scene of Albi (SNA) is a cultural association labelled by the State whose main goal is to open culture to all populations, making it accessible throughout the Albigeese territory. Established since 2014 in a important flagship cultural in the town of Albi, the « Grand Théâtre des Cordeliers », it offers hundreds of performances each year involving various artistic and cultural practices : theatre, dance, circus, singing or movies. This varied cultural offer follows an objective of territorial attractiveness which takes precedence over cultural emancipation. However, the results of the survey on the socioeconomic profile and practices of its spectators show that the SNA is experiencing difficulties in achieving its objective of cultural democratization. Gender, age, the level of study and social classes are social factors that more or less promote access to culture, leading to social inequalities.
