Un enfant, ses parents et un psychomotricien : le tissage d’une alliance thérapeutique

Abstract : This dissertation traces my personal reflection regarding the creation of the therapeutic alliance within the psychomotor therapist area, directly in a children's healthcare institution. The fact to establish a therapeutic alliance with both child and parents is a complicated and dynamic process. However, it is essential to permit a good aftercare investment coming from all concerned. As it is not a determined process, the therapeutic alliance build herself directly on an adjustment of the relation of the psychomotor therapist with the child and his parents. In this way, we will see that the therapist has more than one string to his bow to institute suitable conditions to a therapeutic relation of quality. This requires to the psychomotor therapist, espacially, to think of his own place and psychocorporal involvement within the therapeutic system. Finally, the psychomotor management is often part of a multidisciplinary follow-up and the temporality depends on all stakeholders.
