La gestion du capital humain et son impact sur la formation et le bien-être : une comparaison entre l’hôtellerie américaine et française

Abstract : This master’s thesis examines the relationship between Human Capital management and the development of well-being policies and training programs within American and French hotels. Human Resource Managers and Client-facing employees, such as Front Desk Agents, F&B and Catering staff, and Reservation Agent, were the populations studied in order to compare between American and French Human Capital management. Hilton was the American terrain and Accor was the French terrain. Despite their similarities, a divergence in Human Capital management strategy was observed between the two firms. Firm-specific human capital was at the heart of both strategies; however, Accor also values general human capital, while Hilton also values Task-specific human capital. These combinations in human capital influence the development and implementation of internal training as well as the structure of the hiring and integration process. Additionally, a divergence in human capital preferences between the client-facing employees and human resources managers was observed in both firms. This mismatch reflects each group’s different objectives.
