Analyse des sensibilités de demandeurs d’asile au sein d’un dispositif d’inclusion par le sport

Abstract : This study aimed to analyse, from the sensitivities expressed, the short term effects of the Rennes Breizh Insertion sport program on a population of asylum seekers residing in Reception and Orientation Center. The philosophy of the association was studied through an analysis of interviews conducted with the coordinator of the association and the sports educator in charge of the migrant public. A participant observation of the weekly sports sessions was carried out from November 2019 to March 2020. A walking interview with a french-speaking asylum seeker was also carried out. The interviewsrevealed that the BIS associative actors expressed a desire to restore the "life impulses" of the beneficiaries of the sports sessions. The asylum seekers observed expressed sensations in three typical ways: the affirmation of well-being through sport, the sharing of a form of conviviality, and moderate pain linked to physical exercise. Sports educators' conceptions distort the political expectations marking the reception of asylum seekers in France, favoring sensations of well-being and pleasure that are contradictory to the emotions of fear and sadness that the institution expects of them in order to prove the truth of their story (Freedman, 2017). By momentarily deviating from these state injunctions, the asylum seekers studied use the sensitive body as the medium of an "indigenous social categorization" (Le Yondre, Javerlhiac, 2010).
