Pourquoi et comment étoffer un système de management environnemental d’une entreprise viti-vinicole ?

Abstract : An environmental management system (EMS) is a business management tool that aims to identify and control the environmental impacts of its activities. It is a voluntary approach by companies wishing to address the many current environmental challenges such as climate change. Since 2015, Château de Flaugergues, a wine-growing folly in Montpellier, has been a member of the Terre de Languedoc Roussillon association, which has enabled it to obtain ISO 14001 collective certification. The principle of this standard is based on respect for the environment through pollution prevention and risk management. In order to develop the EMS and make the process more visible, two other certifications have been implemented : HVE (High Environmental Value) and Terra Vitis. These are aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture by reducing environmental impacts. They make it possible to affix a logo to the final product, which allows a better recognition of the approach taken. The development of the EMS also requires the search for ecoresponsible partnerships, such as with the Atelier du Papier Soleil for waste recovery. Finally, communication, internally with staff to involve them in the process, and externally to promote the EMS to stakeholders, is essential to its development.
