Quelle trace écrite au cycle 4 et pour quoi faire ?

Abstract : Written record is a significant part of what we call « writting activities » and related to oral interactions between students and the teacher. It is used during the class at different steps of paper trail : the answering of questions, reworking, abstracts. The writting field is so large that the written record is invisible. Indeed, it is considered as a natural thing belonging to school culture. Yet, it represents a central element of teaching around which a set of constituents is present. Studying the written record allowed us to explain and to highlight its main functions : for instance, keeping the knowledge safe in sustainable way thanks to writting it down. It would have been an opportunity to have a reflexion on the different school-tools as the black board and the notebook which allow its conception and its conservation. Like a « window », it shows all the work done and provides to the teacher analysis keys in order to observe the pupils evolution, to evaluate his own work, eventually to improve and futher his work experience. This research will introduce some experiences of the written record lead with the pupils.
