A. Consumption, . Structural, . In, . Arthritis, . Systematic et al., Cochrane and Embase on the impact of alcohol consumption on structural damage of RA patients. 1081 articles were screened, 1093 were excluded after reading the titles and abstracts. Finally, 4 articles were included in the meta-analysis.It was retrospective studies on American, swiss, british and French cohorts, using different radiographic scores. Patients were categorized according to their alcohol consumption at baseline: occasional consumption < 1 unit per day, moderate consumption 1 per day, high consumption > 1 per day. We compared each group of consumers (occasional, moderate, high) to the abstinent patients, and the moderate consumers to the excessive consumers. Then, sub groups analyses according to gender were made. No significative difference was found in radiographic scores between abstinent versus alcohol consumers nor abstinent and moderate to high consumers. These results were found in three groups: all gender, among women and among men. However, men with moderate alcohol consumption had less structural damage compared to the abstinent patients
