Impact des données anthropométriques et du niveau d'activité physique sur le score du Closed Kinetic Chain Upper Extremity Stability Test (CKCUEST)

Abstract : The Closed Kinetic Chain Upper Extremity Stability test (CKCUEST) is a functional test that evaluates the dynamic stability of the shoulder in a closed kinetic chain. The full assessment of the shoulder requires examining it in its various aspects. Currently, there are few tests evaluating the shoulder in closed kinetic chain and these require research on their metrological qualities. The purpose of this research is to study the impact of anthropometric data and the level of physical activity on the CKCUEST score. Method : a cross-sectional study of 82 healthy subjects was conducted. Anthropometric data were collected and the physical activity level was assessed using the Global Physical Activity Questionnary (GPAQ). The evaluation criterion was the CKCUEST score obtained after dichotomization of the groups. A multivariate analysis was then performed. Results : the results after dichotomization of the variables indicate a significant difference between the groups (p<0.001). The multivariate analysis proposes a predictive equation in which gender, weight and span are the 3 factors with the most influence (R²=0.5). Conclusion : the CKCUEST score seems to be impacted by gender, weight and arm span. A predictive equation for the CKCUEST score was proposed. However, further studies need to be conducted to discover the full range of parameters influencing CKCUEST score.
