Participation à la validation d’un bilan ergothérapique : validité d’apparence et validité de contenu

Abstract : Background: Evaluation are an important part of the therapeutic process in occupational therapy. Among all the tools available, the occupational therapist can use assessment by simulation of real-life situations. In order to mitigate fields constraints, two occupational therapists have created an assessment of a kitchen situational scenario. It is used to assess the patient's motor and cognitive abilities. The objective of this study was to assess the face and content validity of this assessment in order to determine its relevance. Methods: Two different studies were conducted to gather as much information as possible. Firstly, a questionnaire assessing the understanding of the "patient protocol" was distributed to thirty healthy individuals who tested the assessment. Secondly, six occupational therapists were interviewed about the content of the “Assessment of a quick kitchen activity”. Results: Occupational therapists agree that the assessment was clear and understandable. However, they provide several comments that will help to refine the tool. The points noted for the "patient protocol" were consistent with those given by the healthy patients, which confirmed the points to be reviewed. Conclusion: The results obtained indicate that the assessment was generally well perceived, which supports a good face validity. However, changes still need to be made. Further studies are needed to assert content validity.
