Protéines et acides aminés : utilisations par les sportifs et conseils à l’officine

Abstract : Sport became in a few years an element of an active and healthy lifestyle sought by many people. This active lifestyle has an impact on the explosion in the use of fitness rooms but also on the consumption of sports nutrition products. The sports nutrition market is expanding by focusing on experienced and professional athletes but also amateurs. They are looking for products that can support them in their sports activity (muscle gain, fat loss, performance improvement) and in their recovery. Among the most prominent products, we find those with proteins and amino acids. Often marketed in powder or capsule forms, they are also available in nomadic products such as protein drinks and protein bars. The pharmacist can choose to reference it in his pharmacy. He must then be able to advise them to athletes according to their situation and their objectives. This thesis presents the biochemistry of proteins and muscle physiology, then the various supplements containing proteins and amino acids as well as their advice to the pharmacy.
