Prise en charge de l'intersexuation : problèmes éthiques et perspectives d’amélioration des pratiques actuelles en France

Abstract : Based on a bibliographic and journalistic research work and some contributions from professionals and patients, this work attempts to establish an overview of the current care of intersex people in France. Developing the issues of terminology, medical guidelines and practices, lack of data, the point of view of civil society and in particular of associations, the current legal framework and the link with gender representations, this work aims to contribute to raising awareness of the ethical issues raised. In response to each current limitation of care raised, the proposals for improvement are articulated in a project of general awareness and organization into local ethics committees coordinated at the national level. This work is therefore intended above all as a support for reflection and suggestions to be debated in order to develop legislation, practices and representations, thus hoping to contribute to a real recognition of intersexuality, both by the medical profession and the legislator as well as a real recognition by civil society.
