Abstract : The practice of hypnosis has experienced a growing interest in the medical world since the end of the 20th century. The various scientific studies on the subject have demonstrate the existence of the hypnotic state from a scientific aspect and legitimize hypnosis techniques as a valid therapeutic tool for the care of the patient.
The practice of dental surgery is specific in the medical world, especially for the management of the patient-practitioner relationship. The dentist must provide as much comfort as possible to his patient for his care. Hypnosis is emerging today as a technique of choice in the management of stress, pain, care and the therapeutic alliance between patient and practitioner.
