Rôle du mouvement impliquant le corps entier dans l’apprentissage de la croix « x » en moyenne section de Maternelle

Abstract : This work questions the effectiveness of motor-based pedagogical approaches for learning the oblique lines of the cross “x” in kindergarten. The hypothesis was that involving the whole body would promote this learning, as opposed to an approach involving only distal motor skills. This hypothesis was tested in a kindergarten middle school class of 28 pupils. The class was divided into two groups : one group performed activities involving only distal motor skills and the other group performed whole-body activities. Progress in oblique line acquisition were compared between the two groups. The results show that both groups have made progress. But, contrary to our hypothesis, the scores obtained in the summative evaluation showed better performance among the pupils in the distal motor group. However, there were a significant number of absentees at the summative evaluation in the whole-body engagement group, which did not allow for a fair comparison of results. The two groups having mobilized movement during learning, we can conclude that movement has a role in kindergarten learning.
