Le temps passé lointain au cycle 2 : l’apprentissage des marqueurs temporels

Abstract : If the concept of time primarily seems easy to define, all theorists agree that its construction is long and complex Starting in Cycle 3, students tackle the different periods of our history using the chronological timeline. But how can we exercise these pupils in Cycle 2 to differentiate between close past and remote past ? Our research therefore aims to demonstrate theimportance of learning time markers in order to change pupils' initial conceptions of the plurality of past time, and the need to articulate them with the time markers that are essential for projecting pupils into the distant past. But it alsoillustratesthe difficulty of adapting our teaching to the level of students without influencing their thinking process.
