L’implication des hommes face à l’interruption volontaire de grossesse

Abstract : Issue: What is the implication of men facing abortion? Objectives: To determine the degree of implication of men concerning abortion, which could influence it and to apprehend what would be the implication of men who have never been confronted with abortion. Method: Quantitative study using a questionnaire, among 23 men who were confronted with abortion and 115 who were not confronted with the situation. Results: Men reported having a good involvement at 57%. Common life, age, agreement with the decision and the painful feeling did not return as factors influencing the degree of involvement. Men who had not experienced abortion responded 89% that they thought they had a good implication if the event occurred. Conclusion: We know that men have very little involvement with abortion. However, the majority of respondents said they had or would have a good involvement. These declarative effects augur well that in the future men will really engage in all reproductive tasks.
