SAHOS : quelles sont les alternatives actuelles et futures aux traitements par OAM et VPPC ?

Abstract : Obstructive Syndrom Apnea (OSA) is a pathology representing a large public health problem, and contributes to increase heart diseases, stroke, hypertension, diabetes and obesity, with a high rate of comorbidity. Despite the proven effectiveness of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure and Mandibular Advance Orthosis, which constitute first-line treatments, these therapies are considerably limited by poor patient compliance. This obstacle has prompted the development of new, more bearable therapeutic approaches to improve patient compliance, as well as the development of promising technological innovations to treat OSA.
