Parcours de soins préhospitalier des patients hospitalisés pour AVC en 2018 au GHER de la Réunion

Abstract : Background : Stroke is a frequent and complex pathology to manage: it is necessary to be able to make the diagnosis in a short time in order to be able to treat it as well as possible. We wanted to study the prehospital path of patients hospitalized at GHER in 2018 for stroke. Method : single-center quantitative retrospective and observational study. Study of 155 patient files hospitalized for stroke in 2018. Results : 100% of the patients who were thrombolysed arrived by ambulance. All the patients who consulted the attending physician before coming to the emergency room arrived late. The higher the NIHSS score, the faster patients consult. No difference in the speed of treatment depending on gender. Thrombolysis rate is 12% for 2018 at GHER. Conclusion : The low rate of thrombolysis is linked to the delay in emergency visits. The NIHSS score as well as the ambulance transport influence the consultation time. Information to the public must be intensified.
