Le rôle du pharmacien d'officine dans la prise en charge thérapeutique du pèlerin de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle en France

Abstract : Every year hundreds of thousands of people make the pilgrimage of Santiago de Compostela. However, this population remains little studied, which led to the conduct of a survey identifying the health problems of this population. Indeed, conditions of pilgrimage expose the pilgrim to acute pathologies requiring rapid and ambulatory management and some people are under chronic treatment resulting in a specific preparation and management of their treatment. Because of his availability and his territorial coverage, the pharmacist can play a role of accompanist throughout the pilgrim’s journey. With this in mind, we have developed technical support tool for pilgrims. This tool allows to approach in a personalized way pilgrim’s various problem: logistic preparation, evaluation of the health condition and vaccinations, access to tools (DP and DMP), management of acute ailments and management of chronic treatments (to help with taking medication, compliance, monitoring, link with other health actors).
