Mise en place d'une méthode de détermination de la hauteur d'eau des océans à partir d'un capteur LiDAR aéroporté dans le cadre de la calibration / validation de l'altimètre SWOT

Abstract : As part of the SWOT mission, one of the aims of the satellite will be to determine the sea surface height (SSH) from measurements. This term represents the height of the ocean surface relative to an ellipsoid of reference. During the first phase of the orbit, a calibration and validation phase of measurements of the SWOT satellite will be make using airborne and ground campaigns (LIDAR, GPS slick, etc.). The IPPP GNSS positioning method used to process airborne LiDAR data has allowed to overcome the constraints imposed by the DGPS method initially used. The SSH results obtained during this work make it possible to envisage the use of LiDAR measurements in the calibration and validation of SWOT satellite. The continuation of this study and especially the SSH comparisons proposed in this paper will confirm the interest of LiDAR measurements. In addition, they will benefit to validate a method for comparing LiDAR and satellite data of the ocean surface.
