Élaboration et pré-validation d’un questionnaire parental de dépistage des troubles de l’oralité secondaire chez des ex-prématurés à 8 mois pour une prise en charge orthophonique précoce

Abstract : It is well known that preterm infant, because of intensive cares undergone during their stay in neonatal service that might damage oral sensory-motors abilities, are more exposed to oral sensory feeding disorders. The purpose of the study is to create a tool designed to spot, among these vulnerable children, early feeding issues. Thus, after a first parental questionnaire about feeding received 1 month after the discharge from hospital, 43 families of preterm infant received a second screening of oral sensory feeding disorders at 8 months old, at time of the traditional spoon feeding. Then, 9 children of the cohort have been objectively assessed to measure their sensory-motor and feeding abilities. The speech-therapy assessment and the screening questionnaire have been included in the pre-validation process of the tool. Eventually, this tool allowed to spot 12 children with risks to develop oral sensory feeding disorders by distinguish them from 31 children without noteworthy issues. Nevertheless, the questionnaire could be improved, for example, by a systematic screening at 12 months, which could bring information on introduction of pieces and allow to start a parental guidance.
