Quand le silence fait sens : le silence comme support de l’accompagnement au sein d’une expérience de bain thérapeutique avec un enfant présentant un Trouble du Spectre Autistique

Abstract : Through a therapeutic bath experience with a child presenting an Autism Spectrum Disorder, I wanted to tackle the question of silence as a possible tool in the therapeutic panel of psychomotricity. How can a peaceful silence emerge from an awkward one? How can silence become a real therapeutical medium? How can the psychomotor therapist contribute to nourish and give meaning to the patient’s silences? How can silence bring to the psychomotor therapist a new possibility of intervention: that of presence? Based on Noah’s experience, this essay shows what silence can bring to psychomotor therapy.
