Cigarette et Psychomotricité : l’intérêt de l’approche psychomotrice dans l’accompagnement des fumeurs en psychiatrie.

Abstract : Smoking is very common among people with psychiatric disorders. This addiction often seems to be considered unavoidable.
Within a Mental health care center I was interested in the needs that the residents were trying to satisfy by this addiction and its repercussions on their mental and bodily state. Meeting some of these residents allowed me to address their addiction while maintaining the holistic approach of the psychomotor.
If psychomotricity is not to be considered as a method of smoking cessation per se, it can be positioned as a support for smoking cessation. And regardless of quitting smoking, this comprehensive approach helps to relieve the patient in depth. Psychomotricity will promote a better awareness of the subject’s addiction, returning to his sensations to change his bodily representations.
This dissertation develops a reflection around the interest of a proposal for psychomotor care for these residents.
