La psychomotricité et la médiation canine : une alliance thérapeutique pour la prise en soin des troubles du comportement chez la personne âgée démente.

Abstract : In recent years, psychomotricity is more and more available for the elderly in France. This can be explained primarily by the increase of that part of the population, but also by the appeal of this non-drug therapy among the various pathologies of aging. The emergence and increase of psycho-behavioral disorders in elderly people with dementia is often an accelerator of placement in geriatric institutions. These disorders are not always well understood or well accompanied. Canine mediation may be, in the psychomotor therapy process, a way to meet these people, their troubles, and to soothe them. In any case, this is the hypothesis I have made, and to which I am trying to answer in this brief.
