Des émotions masquées ? : ou l’influence du masque chirurgical dans la prise en soin de l’enfant présentant un Trouble du Spectre Autistique en cabinet libéral.

Abstract : With the Covid-19 virus, an item quickly became essential to the point where it imposed itself on our daily lives. The surgical mask. Therefore, it was also introduced to psychomotor therapy sessions, between the psychomotor therapist and his patient.
This thesis is the result of my reflection regarding the eventual influences that the surgical mask could have on the reading and understanding of facial emotions by children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within the liberal psychomotricity cabinet. In this thesis, I underpin my reflection by relying on the development stages of children with ASD, the study of research concerning the reading of facial expressions by this audience and finally the analysis of clinical vignettes of three children with autism : Yavane, Travin and Narima.
This thesis offers a first personal approach on a vast topical subject.
