Appropriation psychocorporelle et individuation du jeune enfant : accompagnement en psychomotricité

Abstract : The body appropriation during psychomotor development appears to be eminently related to the individuation process of the young child. This thesis describes how, during the first years of life, the child - between zero and six years old - constructs and appropriates his body as he becomes a subject. The psycho-corporal appropriation could also be hindered by various issues that would affect the whole individuation process. What support can the psychomotrician offer to the young children to help them take ownership of their bodies and individuate? By answering that question, this thesis emphasizes the psychomotrician’s key role in supporting the young child in his process of growing up and establishing a relationship with himself, others, and the environment.
