Évaluation de l'état nutritionnel de la population des plus de 60 ans en Basse-Normandie : intérêt d'un dépistage ambulatoire biologique de la dénutrition par le médecin généraliste

Abstract : In this observational study carried out in 6 doctors' offices in Basse-Normandie over 1 year, all patients over 60 were offered screening for biological deficiencies. Among the 151 patients included, 61% had at least one biological deficiency. The most frequently found deficiencies were hypoprotidemia and vitamin B12 deficiency. The older, institutionalized patients had significantly more often several deficiencies. The existence of anemia was associated with multiple deficiencies, including hypoprotidemia, and recent hospitalization. Our study has shown that in ambulatory medicine the prevalence of deficiencies or even poly-deficiencies is high.
