L'hypnose au sein de la profession de sage-femme : enquête sur les impacts professionnels et personnels d'une formation à l'hypnose

Abstract : The objective of this study is to assess the professional and personal impacts of hypnosis training on midwives. We aim to demonstrate the benefits of this practice in order to establish its relevance in the midwifery curriculum. To do this, we carried out 9 semi-structured interviews with volunteer midwives working at Romans-sur-Isère hospital and having been trained in hypnoanalgesia applied to care. The results showed positive impacts on professional practice by improving communication. Hypnosis is proven to be a pain reliever and stress reliever. On the personal side, we can note an improvement in the psychological well-being of midwives, resulting in quality communication with their own children. In conclusion, hypnosis training is relevant within midwifery training and the results are consistent with the literature. Additional studies should be considered to confirm these results and complete the missing data.
