Le travail en groupe, un facteur de plaisir, indispensable à la motivation ?

Abstract : The study was born after the following observation: the pleasure of the teacher in transmitting his or her knowledge is not sufficient for all students to be motivated and involved in their learning. Thus, I turned to the pedagogy of group work. Through this paper, I observed and implemented group work in a second Bac Professionnel Métiers de la Mode et du Vêtement (BMMV) class in order to analyze its impact on motivation and enjoyment among the learners. The results obtained by my sample, although not representative, have nevertheless demonstrated the positive effects of group work on the pleasure of learning and also on the motivation of students. But beyond that, it is beneficial because it promotes, through socio-cognitive conflicts, the understanding of work, socialization, mutual aid and collaboration between peers with the aim of enabling each student to become a citizen. This paper also provides a glimpse of other avenues of research to motivate young people, such as the hook, the game, the project or the evaluation. The next years in teaching will allow me to explore and test these different pedagogical methods.
