Polissage des résines composites en technique directe

Abstract : With the evolution of their composition and properties, composite resins have become the materials of choice for dental surgeons for direct restoration. The protocol for their implementation has been the subject of numerous studies, resulting in a standard sequence, making it possible to optimize the durability and properties of these resins. Following this, shaping, called finishing, and polishing of the restoration will be essential. But, unlike placement, the protocols for these two steps vary depending on the practices of the practitioner and the instruments at his disposal, and few studies have actually produced a typical sequence, resulting in optimal polishing. This while insufficient polishing will lead to a rough surface condition, leading to many negative consequences for the patient. The objective of this thesis will thus be to compare the effect on the composites of various instruments, and to come up with a standard sequence allowing to obtain the smoothest possible surface finish, and therefore to optimize the integration of restoration in the oral environment.
