Inverser le regard : esquisse d'un projet de sol métropolitain : de la polarité nord-ouest aux carnets de territoire

Abstract : Urban planning and landscape are disciplines with multiple different but complementary approach’s. Grenoble metropolis explores situations in which the landscape approach attempts to reverse the way one considers a site in contemporary urban planning practices. In retrospective, the construction of this territory, as well as Presqu’île and Mikado projects, highlight different ways of practicing urban planning, signifying the progression that the establishment has made towards what could be called a metropolitan land project. The professional records of these projects illustrate this process and describe the limits encountered in the development. Thus, it seems that the traces left by the Mikado approach may be the sign of an change envisaged in the practice of metropolitan urban planning in Grenoble. It can be surmised in the Carnets de territoire (Territorial studies), following the study already done in the OAP landscape and biodiversity. These studies elaborate on new and unifying figures which explore the meaning given to these open spaces, sketching little by little the metropolitan land project.
