Méthodologie pour la création de continuité entre des espaces végétalisés urbains, dans une optique d'améliorer les services rendus par la nature en ville

Abstract : Human activities degrade ecosystems by fragmenting natural environments. This causes a significant erosion of biodiversity. Faced with this situation, the public authorities have implemented the Green and Blue Belt network (GBB) on the territory, a measure resulting from the Grenelle de l'environnement in 2007. The idea is to consider the corridors and reservoirs that make up the GBBs in development work to limit our impact. The city concentrates major constraints for plant and animal species (pollution, light, temperature, etc.) and comprises a highly fragmented fabric of vegetated areas. The urban ecosystem is therefore of little or no function. The benefits of nature can only be observed in a functional environment. The establishment of urban green belt network (UGB) can contribute to this. Each city has its own specific context, and a particular operating method must be defined. It allows planners to consider all the points of attention to avoid design errors that could be detrimental to the functionality of these networks. We have developed a method for the implementation of a UGB for the city of Saumur. Its main principles can be used and adapted according to the context of the city under study.
