Effets de la rééducation des dyskinésies scapulaires sur la douleur, chez le patient atteint du syndrome de conflit sous acromial

Abstract : Introduction: The upper limbs are socially and professionally indispensable tools in our society. Subacromial impingement syndrome (SIS) is one of the most frequent causes of shoulder pain, which can lead to disability or surgery. Objective: This review aims to study and analyze the effects that a treatment of scapular dyskinesias could have on the pain in patients with subacromial impingement syndrome. Research methodology: Searches conducted from August to November 2020, collected 4 randomized clinical trials from the PubMed, PEDro and Cochrane Library databases. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were established to guide the search. The primary outcome is analgesic evolution. The secondary outcome is the range of motion of the glenohumeral joint. Results and analysis: After analysis of the 4 clinical trials and calculation of the inter-group differences, a potential analgesic effect of scapular treatments can be observed in each of the 4 articles. These differences vary from -0.18 to -2.1 on the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Discussion: The calculation of the 95% confidence intervals made it possible to weight the effectiveness of the results on pain found previously. Indeed, statistically, we cannot conclude that the treatment of scapular dyskinesias has a significant effect on pain in patients with SIS. The heterogeneous population and the numerous biases present in the studies and in their comparison, confirm the lack of interpretability of the results.
