L'intérêt du contrôle moteur du core dans la rééducation du syndrome douloureux fémoro-patellaire chez la femme active

Abstract : Background: Literature studied since many years the femoro-patellar pain syndrome (FPS), its complex etiology and multifactorial. It’s seems that some motor impairment, especially from core muscles, would encourage the onset and/or the maintenance of this syndrome. Objectives: The aim of this review was to gather recent and available scientific studies, in order to broaden our knowledge about the interest or not of a core rehabilitation for active women with FPS. Methods: The Pubmed, Cochrane Library, PEDro ans Google scholar database were consulted until February 2021. 3 randomized clinical trials were included and the PEDro scale assess th risk of bias. Results and analysis: In this review, the outcomes were: pain, functional capacity and trunk, pelvis and lower limbs kinematics. These criteria were studied in 115 woman who participated in regular physical activity. A core muscle training seems to be an effective way to improve those outcomes. Discussion: The small number of patients included in this review and the moderate quality of included trials require attention for the interpretation of results and the applicability on a bigger population. Studies on larger samples seem necessary to prove the real applicability of these results.
