L'intérêt de la télé réadaptation chez le patient présentant une bronchopneumopathie chronique obstructive

Abstract : Introduction: Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) is an integral part of the management of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD is responsible for significant mortalitý and healthcare costs, characterised by dyspnoea that can progress to chronic respiratory failure. PR has been shown to be effective in increasing exercise capacity and improving quality of life. However, PR services are failing to meet the demand. Telé rehabilitation is a new approach in the field of rehabilitation that could offer the opportunity to increase accessibility to PR, with the implementation of online physical training protocols. Objectives: The aim of this review is to investigate the effect of PR tele treatment on exercise capacity and quality of life as well as to prove its non-inferiority to conventional outpatient rehabilitation. Method: The demonstration is done with the help of articles previously selected via eligibility criteria, and with results from randomised clinical trials and feasibility studies. In order to provide meaningful results, we looked at significance, both clinically and statistically, using viable tools such as p-value, effect size, confidence interval and non-inferiority threshold. D.PEMBEDJOGLOU 2020-2021 51. Results and Analysis: Based solely on the effect size obtained for the population of articles, online exercise programmes are non-inferior to outpatient rehabilitation. However, the confidence intervals are wide and sometimes exceed the non-inferiority threshold. Discussion: However, the conclusive results of the various studies acquire too little clinical and statistical relevance. Nevertheless, there are some values that should be remembered and that constitute real evidence in favour of the effectiveness of online PR protocols.
