Gouttière de repositionnement et performances sportives revue systématique de la littérature

Abstract : Used for over a century, intra-oral devices are now mandatory in some sports and essential in many sports. Intra-oral devices have evolved and now hold out the hope of improved sports performance through their use. The objective of this work is to present, through a systematic review of the literature, the current state of research concerning intra-oral devices for ergogenic purposes. In other words: what protocols allow us to study the variation of sports performance according to the use of an intra-oral devices during the recording of this performance? and can wearing an intra-oral devices improve sports performance? This review does not reach a scientific consensus, in particular because of the great diversity of tests used to evaluate performance. This important variability of tests does not allow us to draw a conclusion as to an overall improvement in sports performance thanks to the use of these devices. However, there seems to be a progression in certain areas such as muscle power, respiratory parameters and certain specific sports practices such as golf. The use of a common protocol for the studies is an area of improvement in this field of research, aiming to obtain greater comparability of results.
