Perception de l’e-portfolio nécessaire à la validation du DESMG par les internes de médecine générale de la faculté de médecine de Caen

Abstract : Introduction: The portfolio template was introduced in 2014 and is completed by junior doctors to report on the clinical situations they face, related to the skills and abilities required to practice medicine. The aim of this thesis is to gather information regarding the difficulties and expectations of the junior doctors in the use of this portfolio template. Method: This is a qualitative and quantitative study via a questionnaire sent by email in June 2020. Results: Based on 84 responses, the results show that this tool was perceived as too academic and disconnected from real practice. The junior doctors aspire to more editorial freedom; they wish to have greater choice over the covered topics and to have fewer situations to describe. Discussion: Significant progress has been made since the first implementation of the portfolio, however the editorial objectives remain very rigid and could benefit from being made more flexible, which would allow for better acceptance and suitability of the tool.
