Évaluation de l'influence d'un système de serre autonome sur une culture de tomates et développement d'outils de modélisation de surface foliaire et de transpiration

Abstract : To evaluate the influence of a new climate control solution, two experiments were set up in the production greenhouses of the host company. In the first experiment, we measured the leaf area index of 10 plants in an autonomously controlled compartment, and of 10 others from a reference compartment. The leaf areas were higher in the autonomous compartment. The data collected allowed us to develop a tool for estimating this index, which is simple, non-destructive and ten times faster than a conventional measurement method. The second experiment allowed us to study the water consumption of plants under the two climate control solutions. The water consumption of the plants was higher in the autonomous compartment, while the water input was lower. The weak irrigation strategy of the reference compartment resulted in high water losses. The similar yields observed between the two modalities showed a better efficiency of the use of water resource under the autonomous regulation, where it was possible to produce more fruit with the same volume of water supplied. The higher water consumption of the plants in the autonomous compartment seems to be mainly due to their higher leaf area index, potentially favored by higher night temperature set points. The measured consumption data allowed us to test two transpiration models which showed a good estimation quality on some plants.
